Clippit, popularly known as Clippy, was a smart assistant included in Microsoft Office for Windows (versions 97 to 2003). The assistant was widely criticized at the time as being intrusive and annoying. Today Clippy is seen as a nostalgic symbol of software in the late 90s and early 2000s.
